Vikon Polyurea Chemistry

Poly You’re A What?!

Polyurea [pol-ee-yoor-ee-uh] noun.

So what is it? If you ask our chemists they’ll say that Polyurea is a type of elastomer that is derived from the reaction product of an isocyanate component and a synthetic resin blend component through step-growth polymerization.

But for the rest of us here at Vikon, polyurea is the proof that modern chemistry can and will positively affect the environment and the way an entire industry will perform in the future.

And soon, you’ll see how Vikon’s amazing polyurea-based family of products are far superior to today’s so-called standard coatings like epoxies and urethane products.
